Title: Unity and Variety Media: Sharpie Date created: March 25th, 2008 Description: For this project, I picked four different objects: an animal, a man-made object, a letter, and a plant. Then I chose different textures. For one object, the background has texture, for another, the object has texture, for another one there’s texture on the object and the background, and another has whatever I wanted. Then these objects and textures are repeated in the bigger picture.

Title: Lines Project Media: Sharpie Date created: February 7, 2008 Description: This was my first project for 2D Design. It’s supposed to incorporate different types of lines such as calligraphic, contour, networking, and implied; but my project uses mostly implied and calligraphic lines. In the end, I realized my project was too detailed and didn’t stand out when looked at from a distance, but is nice otherwise.

Title: Astronomical Clock Media: Pen Date created: January 4th, 2007 Description: I wanted to start the new year with an art project. I hadn’t used pens that often due to having few colors to choose from, also because my style of drawing is usually fuzzy. I wanted to try something different. Ink lasts longer than pencil and colors don’t smear or fade as easily. I chose to draw an astronomical clock because it symbolizes time passing in the universe in measuring the path of stars, the sun, the moon, and at times paths of other planets in the solar system. Also, they have this fascinating aesthetically appealing look about them. This clock in particular is found in Prague, the largest city of the Czech Republic. I hadn’t known of the city’s existence until I searched Google for astronomical clocks and found one I liked that was apparently located there. Then I looked the place up on Wikipedia.
